In the age of the "size 0" celebrity, I think it's important to celebrate what I've got! So for the average sized of us (that's a 16 uk) lets remind ourselves of some of the benefits:
1. Fabulous skin and hardly any wrinkles,
2. A great rack and no silicon implants in sight,
3. Being surprisingly sexy
4. The amazed look on skinny yoga practitioners faces when you can do everything they do and more
5. Tap dancing with your round jolly mates
6. FOOD
7. Having "presence"
8. Not going to bed hungry
9. Not having to wear stupid trendy clothes because they don't fit!
Hurrah! For middle age and wobbly bits!

Tap dancing? I had a mental picture of the "Rolly Pollies" - remember them on the Les Dawson show?
Of course I remember - they are our positive roll and role models! We're really good actually - and to add to the fun, it's our Christmas beer and curry night after class tonight - hurrah
And you 'make your own space' when Christmas shopping.
Good on ya , nobody really likes some skinny mysery , who doesnt eat anything and only drinks water....and tap dancing !!!!
F'real
alice - sadly yes, in US clothes sizes I would take a 10/12 an these days a 10 only in Gap which is ridiculously generous.
So doing all the sane things like trying to cut back on sugar, eat more slowly and do EVEN MORE exercise,,sigh, it was never easy but god it gets harder when you are middle aged.
