Now that's what I call a loud noise!

They say old rockers never die, but God don't you sometimes wish that they would?

Watching the Bryan Ferry sessions on BBC the other night was like watching a car crash. He looks terrible, he's too round for the slim fit suits and his hair is parting company with his scalp at a serious rate of knots. But the worst part was that he can't sing any more...the voice has gone and no amount of pretending it hasn't is going to help. Give it up, go home, grow something in the garden instead. It probably won't help but it will get you off the telly.

He's not alone, they were playing "Rod Stewart sings the American Song Book" in the hairdressers the other day and it was enough to make your ears bleed.

Only the girls can sing when they are over 60 it seems - there is only one word for you Aretha ....Respect!

They really don't want to give up these people, do they?

Saw Paul Young last year - his voice shot away, quite embarassing. The Rolling Stones at the Isle of Wight festival this year? certainly put me off going. And I wouldn't cross the road to Glastonbury to see The Who. Yes, in their day probably two of the most exciting groups around, but now just boosting their pension plans

Lou Reed. Not the best singer around in his day but the last time I heard him on the telly he couldn't even get the key right.

Sugs is another one.

Come to think of it, when was the last time anyone wanted to be in Gary Glitters gang? In fairness he hasn't been shoe horning himself into a silver suit and trying to amuse us on the telly.

Well Ticks isnt' Gary Glitter still in jug in Cambodia somewhere after being done for Kiddy Fiddling? I wonder what the cambodian is for "you nonce".

Frobes - yes the whole Stones thing is just deeply wrong and bizarre. Come and see the Scissor Sisters with me? You KNOW you want to???
